Who's Hiding Hero Pilot?

Captain Chesley Sullenberger, the hero who safely landed USAirways flight 1549 into the Hudson River, was abruptly yanked from his much-publicized, much-anticipated interview with Matt Lauer today, clearing the stage for Barack Hussein Obama's coronation inauguration. Who cancelled it and why?

Matt Lauer explained that the pilot's union had requested more time to investigate the accident before allowing the pilot, credited with saving at least the 155 passengers on board, as well as many on the ground, to be interviewed.

He was scheduled to be with us this morning for his first interview since that incident. The pilot's union asked us to delay the interview saying they really would prefer the investigation move a little bit further down the road before Capt. Sullenberger makes comments in media. We have been guaranteed we'll have the first interview with Capt. Sullenberger. But we're just going to delay it a couple days. We completely understand their request.

Some are speculating that there may be more to the story. Did Obama staffers pressure the network or the union to delay the interview so that he can have center stage? Would Captain Sullenberger have agreed to the interview without getting necessary clearances? What could cause the union to abruptly change positions like that? Is it possible that the hero pilot threatened to distract from the ascendant messiah on his appointed day of glory?

I don't have the answers, but I do know his interview would have been a welcome respite from the hours of tedious Obama worship that I'm being subjected to.
