The Stench of Corruption: Bailout Beneficiaries Donate Big

by Patrick Gibson

Wanna know who will get the next huge government bailout check? Take a look at the Democrat donor list. Some researchers are suggesting an uncanny correlation between those who write big checks to candidates and those who cash big checks from elected officials.

If you were wondering, like I was, what happened to the capitalistic fire in these executives panhandling up and down Pennsylvania Avenue, we may have an answer. Some of these companies have gotten truly incredible rates of return from their, uh... investments in candidates. Let's look at a few:

-AIG gave $1.5 million to both parties... unless I recall incorrectly, just ONE PART of their return was $84 Billion. Not too shabby.

-Ford donated $200,000. That's good for at least $8-10 billion in the new giveaway.

-GM donated 775 cars for a week. Their return- at least $9 Billion

-And the winner is (drum roll)... Freddie Mac. $500,000 in donations... $200 Billion with FNMA in bailout funds.

A couple of good-faith questions for our leaders in DC.

-If these companies are capable of such savvy investment, why do they need our government money?

-If these companies are so poorly managed as to need such vast sums of money, how is it wise to give them MORE to lose?

One question for my fellow Americans.

-Do you realize how much money they are giving away? No one knows for sure anymore, but it is somewhere north of $1 TRILLION. That would be about $4000 for every person drawing breath in the United States.

This is an almost transparent attempt to steal our nation's wealth. There is no recovery here, just a massive hand in our collective pocket. AIG has been back twice already. How long before the others do too.

-I don't have 775 cars but I do have one they can use for a week anytime if they will give me 1/775th of what GM is getting. That is about $11,612,903.58... at least. I wont hold my breath for it. Does that help put all the zeroes in perspective?

As a nation we are being thrown deeper and deeper into debt. This is a perfect storm for fascist socialism in America. The liberals have almost unchecked power. They have a crisis, and they have a public whipped into a frenzy by a deceptive media that looks less like the proud fourth estate they once aspired to be, and more and more like another organ of the elites. They are sensing that they can get away with anything.

Make no mistake about it. This is a revolution of the rich, by the rich, and for the rich. It is high time we stand up and say no. If our republic survives the onslaught from within that will surely take place over the next four years, it is unlikely we will face such a storm again soon. But right now that looks like a pretty big IF.
