Obama's Huge Blunder: Emmanuel Likely to be Grilled in Blago Scandal

The leaking sludge of the Blagojevich investigation is threatening to stain the Obama presidency before it gets off the ground. The reports out of Chicago indicate a tense weekend for the Obammunists. There is rampant speculation about the extent and content of Rahm Emmanuel's six contacts with Blagojevich and, perhaps even more pressingly, a concern that perhaps the media blanket that has been protecting Obama may be showing signs of wear.

There are also indications that Obama is using his Senate Club status to try and deflect inquiry, as his former opponent and our national disappointment John McCain came out today with a Quisling-esque stance on the Blagojevich investigation. With enemies like that, who needs friends?

Nonetheless, it is increasingly inconceivable that Emmanuel will not be grilled for his series of conversations with the Governor. If they weren't discussing the Senate Club seat, what WERE they discussing?

There is a lot of finger-pointing starting on the left, with the same Blagojevich that Axelro, Emmanuel, Obama, et al knew and worked with for years now being cast as an out-of-control nutcase. The fact is, our Great-Leader-in-waiting, in his inexperience and arrogance, has brought this upon himself.

When Obama said he had had "no contact" with Blagojevich regarding his Senate Club seat, he lowered the bar on the investigation into his involvement. Prior to that the media would have needed video of Obama himself bringing a bag of cash and signed affadavits from all the participants to even CONSIDER mentioning anything against The Obama. For a man who voted present so many times in his career, it's amazing that he failed to see what such an absolute position would do. It created a story where the media was sure to have found none.

Stay tuned, folks.
