With the withdrawals today of two more Obama cabinet nominees, both because of failure to properly file and pay their taxes, some additional light is shed on VP Joe Biden's campaign pronouncement that it's "patriotic" to pay taxes.
On Sept 8th, Joe Biden called for higher taxes on the "wealthy," saying that it was the "patriotic thing to do."
"We want to take money and put it back in the pocket of middle-class people," Biden said in an interview on ABC's "Good Morning America."
Noting that wealthier Americans would indeed pay more, Biden said: "It's time to be patriotic ... time to jump in, time to be part of the deal, time to help get America out of the rut."
Today we had two more Obama nominees withdraw themselves from consideration ---- with tax problems. I guess that would make this cabinet the most unpatriotic ever, according to Joe Biden.
The news that Tom Daschle and Nancy Killefer both have huge tax problems only goes to show the double standard that Obama applies... higher taxes for you and me, but not for the elite. Does the mainstream media point out this hypocrisy? NO WAY.
