John Ziegler takes a few minutes to tell EC about the hatchet job on Sarah Palin, how the media tilted the field towards Comrade Obama, and the reaction he's had from the media he indicts in his new film.
Let me tell you something about this film. We tend to let time blur things a little. We all remember the McCain campaign limping over the finish line after his ill-fated suspension of his campaign to twist arms for the poorly-conceived stimulus plan. What we forget is all that led up to that.
Sarah Palin hit the national stage running. Her likeablility factor was through the roof and she had a great way of communicating on-message to many conservatives. This movie proves beyond a doubt that there was a concentrated and focused, if not coordinated, media hatchet job done on Governor Palin, with trusted media icons engaging in some of the most dishonest and misleading tactics just to make her look bad. The Katie Couric out-take clips alone are worth the price of the movie.
I cannot encourage you strongly enough to see this film. It's an amazingly documented narrative of the 2008 election that damns the media in their own words.
