The numbers are coming in from California. Under the sure-fire leadership of Arnold Schwartzenegger (yeah, right), and being one of our most "progressive" states, California went balls-to-the wall on this whole green thing before most of us even heard the term "compact flourescent." The projection is that green initiatives will create green jobs. The reality is that, while green investments may be marginally more effective than investments in, say, Nigerian asset liberation strategies, it's nowhere near as effective at creating jobs as real strategies like tax cuts for businesses... in fact, it appears that the California approach has actually COST them jobs.
The federal government is said to be "watching California closely" as they plan their next attempt at controlling us with the phony science of envirofascism. It's almost like Obama has two doors to choose from - one leading to less government regulation of business, lower taxes, and prosperity and wealth for America, the other leading to misfortune and misery... but offering complete control over the citizenry. I wonder which one Obama will choose?
