Nancy Pelosi and other liberals live in a dreamland where they think things like success and "fairness" (I hate that word) and equality can be legislated. Nancy Pelosi spent months telling America that the health care reform bill will be a job creator - "400,000 jobs almost immediately." Part of me thinks that she actually believed herself.
Of course, reality is always different from liberal fantasyland, and the reality is that, due to the regulation break given to businesses with less than 50 employees, many companies will be consciously keeping their payrolls lean. What does that mean? Well, it means that a company with, say, 48 employees may find it to their advantage to stop growing and hiring to avoid the new regulations. That's a real job cost, and a huge uncalculated drain on our economy, but still better than the 53 or 54 employee companies who may actually downsize to avoid regulation, like the one featured in this video clip.
One thing's for sure. When our economy recovers and jobs come back, it will be DESPITE the healthcare bill forced on us by Pelosi, Reid and Obama, not because of it. The bill's immediate effects are a LOSS of jobs, as you will see in the first clip. The second clip is Nancy promising 400,000 jobs "immediately."
