Obama's So Vain, He Probably Thinks This Post Is About Him

Last night's State of Obama's Union address was quite the banana republic-style Chavextravaganza, complete with attacks on the judiciary, phony populism, rampant deception, and calls for LOTS more of what's driving us crazy already. Big government isn't dead... it's running wild in DC. So that got me thinking... and I dug up President Reagan's brilliant 1st State of the Union address from 1982, delivered to a heavily Democrat Congress... not all that much different than this one. Interesting juxtaposition.

State of the Union? Try the State of Obama..

EC previews tonight's State of the Union speech and predicts what most of the Dear Leader's speech will be about... and odds are it'll be ALL ABOUT HIM; Obama's feelings, Obama's fears, Obama's visions and Obama's persecutors. They say when you're in trouble politically to stick to what you know...

Indonesians Call for Destruction of Obama Statue

It seems that some people in Indonesia aren't so happy about the new statue depicting Barack Obamain their country. Are they disgusted with the false idolatry of a man who's done pretty much nothing? Or are they just mad because they haven't gotten a stimulus check yet?

Is Obama's Unparalleled Record of Failure Making Him Lose His Mental Balance?

In the wake of comments made by outgoing US Rep. Marion Berry (the Democrat congressman from Arkansas - not the crackhead mayor of DC), and Obama's unparalleled record of failure (six major flops that I can count) EC raises a few compelling questions, not the least of which is whether Barack Obama is fully in charge of his mental faculties... or is our wonderful savior just a little touched?

Obama Using the Teleprompter... with Elementary School Kids???

I have to admit, I just LOVE this picture of Obama... using a teleprompter to address an elementary school. It has to make Dems just a little bit nervous that the same guy who refuses to "wing it" at an elementary school speech (we all know how critical those pre-teens can be of serious policy initiatives), doesn't mind gambling the Dem House majority in '10. While the GOP steamrolls with wins in Virginia, New Jersey, and now Massa-friggin-chussetts, Obama is redefining lowest-common-denominator political leadership.

Haitians Didn't Vote for an Earthquake

The situation in Haiti is awful. So awful, in fact, that the presidency of Barack Obama is about the only historical event that can compete - in terms of destruction and suffering, at least. And let's give the Haitians a break - at least they didn't VOTE for their disaster.

Homosexual Marriage Advocate by Day, Gun-Sex Killer by Night

Bruce LaVallee-Davidson, an outspoken gay rights activist who publicly fought for gay marriage, has been convicted of manslaughter in a bizarre sex game accident that included drugs and guns. Yeah EC has an opinion.

Are Democracy Demagogues Determined to Destroy Us?

It was George Bush's obsession to export "democracy" to places where the majority of people seem to despise us. Democrats and Republicans alike constantly sing its praises. Why do you suppose that the elites in power have such universal affiliation with and support of a system that would, on its face, seem destined to deliver their comeuppance? What did our founding fathers have to say about it? EC asks - is democracy really so good?

A Prayer for Haiti

Haiti has been dealt a crippling blow, with the recent earthquake destroying and devastating practically the entire capitol of Port Au Prince. We can all pray for the Haitians and that they are able to survive, and perhaps even use this event as a springboard to free themselves from the generations of corrupt Marxist welfare-state rule that have caused even more suffering than the earthquake.

Chavez Beats Obama to the Punch... Again

Everybody knows about the good-natured rivalry between Hugo Chavez and his gringo friend Barack Obama... but have you seen the lead that Hugo has built up recently in their spirited competition to see who can destroy their respective economy first?

Democrats and Race - Byrds of a Feather WILL Stick Together

Democrats are rallying around Harry Reid in the wake of his ill-advised comments on Obama's race, and Republicans are whining that there's a "double-standard" at play after all is forgiven when Reid kisses the rings of the Race Industry. EC explains that there IS no double standard, and asks if Harry apologized to the right people...

No One on Pandora Has a Job - Why "Avatar" Fans Are Depressed and Suicidal

The latest in hype from James Cameron's new Avatar movie, direct from CNN, is that viewers are so in love with Pandora that they are suicidal and depressed upon leaving to return to boring reality here on Earth. EC speculates that the blue skinned aliens in the movie really do represent something that liberals aspire to be - communal, planet-worshipping, no-job-having, scantily clad savages who j More..ust sit around and engage in pagan rituals to glorify their planet-god.
